How to use the iron?

  1. First, read the manual and do relevant inspections. When choosing an electric iron, you should first check whether the terminals are loose, the protective layer of the metal shell should not have spots, layers and peeling, and the handle should be intact. After checking the appearance, the electric iron should also be energized to check whether there is a short circuit, open circuit, leakage, etc. For tempering and spray irons, it is also necessary to check whether the technical performance meets the requirements of the product specification.

  2. Follow the correct steps when using it. When using an electric iron, safety measures must be taken to protect the zero (or ground) connection: use a three-pin plug and socket to connect the power supply, and ensure that the wiring is correct. First time using an electric iron: Wipe off the anti-rust grease on the surface first. When the temperature of the iron exceeds the required temperature, the power supply should be cut off to cool down, and the water dip method should not be used to cool down. When using an automatic temperature-adjusting electric iron, you should pay attention to whether the temperature-adjusting mechanism works to prevent the temperature from being too high and causing fire. When using the electric iron, handle it with care to prevent it from falling, and do not use the iron to strike items, so as not to damage the internal components and the porcelain sleeves on the terminals, resulting in leakage. In case of any accident during use, the power supply should be cut off before handling.

  3. The knob of the temperature-adjusting iron should be turned to the required temperature before use. After ironing, first turn the temperature adjustment knob to the cold zone, then cut off the power supply, and place it upright, let it cool down naturally, and then put it away. It is best to use cold boiled water or purified water for the water of the spray iron to prevent the drip hole from being blocked. After ironing, the water should be poured out and the electricity should be turned on for a while to dry it.

Fourth, when using the iron to handle some clothes, you need to pay more attention. When ironing cotton, linen and wool fabrics, the iron can be in direct contact with the fabric; when ironing vinylon fabrics, the iron should preferably be in direct contact with the reverse side of the garment, do not cover it with a damp cloth; when ironing silk, nylon and other thin fabrics and synthetic fiber fabrics , a layer of damp soft cloth should be placed on the fabric; the ironing temperature of various synthetic fiber fabrics should not be too high, the iron should be moved frequently during ironing, the pressure should be appropriate, and it should be uniform.
